If you own a home — or are thinking about buying one — in Fishers, Indiana, you're going to want to hear this…

On June 10, 2026, Mayor Scott Fadness announced a $169 million expansion of Fishers District. And it's not just another development. This one is packed with the kind of news that makes people stop and say, "Wait… I should probably move to Fishers."

JD Finish Line Is Moving Its North American Headquarters Right Here

JD North America — the company behind the JD and Finish Line brands — is relocating its corporate headquarters to Fishers. They're setting up shop in a 350,000-square-foot building at 11100 USA Parkway.

They're bringing over 400 existing employees with them… and plan to add 200 MORE jobs in the coming years. That's a lot of people moving to — or already living in — our community.

Renovations to the building begin in 2027. Their CEO called Fishers District the perfect fit for their "sports fashion brand" and the active, forward-thinking lifestyle they want to reflect. (Honestly? That does sound like Fishers.)

A Brand-New $65 Million Fieldhouse — for Youth Sports AND the Pros

The Fishers Fieldhouse is a 180,000-square-foot facility set to break ground in fall 2026 and open in late 2027 or early 2028.

It will be the official training headquarters for Major League Volleyball's Indy Ignite — the top-ranked professional women's volleyball franchise. Their home court at the Fishers Event Center is just steps away. Pretty cool, right?

But here's what really matters for families… The Fieldhouse will have flex space for 10 basketball courts OR 20 volleyball courts. It'll host large-scale tournaments drawing visitors from the $40 billion youth sports industry. New basketball and volleyball programs are already in the works through Pro Net Sports. This means more families looking for homes in Fishers — which means more demand for your neighborhood.

300+ New Homes and Apartments — Walkable to Everything

Buckingham Companies is adding 167 apartments (studio through 3-bedroom) and 98 three- and four-bedroom townhomes right inside Fishers District. Their new community, called Contrast | Fishers, breaks ground in 2026 with completion expected in late 2028.

The whole idea is to create a walkable, live-work-play environment with sports, food, retail, and housing all in one place. That's exactly the kind of destination living that attracts buyers from all over the country.

Susan's Take

So… What Does This Mean for Home Values in Fishers?

Here's my take as a local Realtor who lives and works in this market every single day…

This kind of investment — jobs, professional sports, youth sports, walkable living — is exactly what drives long-term demand for housing. More jobs = more people relocating to Fishers. More people = more buyers. More buyers = upward pressure on home prices.

Since 2015, Fishers has attracted nearly $3.5 billion in capital investment and more than 11,000 jobs under Mayor Fadness's leadership. This latest announcement is just the next chapter in a story that's been building for years.

If you already own a home in Fishers? Your investment just got a little stronger. If you've been thinking about buying here? The window to get in before this next wave of growth is NOW.

A Note for My Downsizing Clients…

If you're thinking about selling your larger home and moving into something simpler — less maintenance, less stress, more life — this is actually great timing. A growing job market and new residents moving in means your current home will be very appealing to buyers. And with new multi-family options coming to Fishers District itself, there may be some interesting "right-size" options right here in your own backyard… just something to keep in mind.
